Leaving the baggage from the past: How Women’s Day is celebrated in the Czech Republic
Many women in the Czech Republic, especially who experienced living under communism still associate 8th March with the official communist celebrations. Under totalitarianism, Women’s Day was a part of propaganda that the regime used. Meanwhile, younger generation celebrates differently, leaving the baggage from the past.
