A Second Chance for the Wild: Inside Prague’s Animal Rescue Efforts

When Zuzana Pokorná stepped into the room at Prague’s Wildlife Rescue Station, three baby mouflons cheered up instantly, their small hooves bouncing with excitement as if expecting a meal. The young animals, recently rescued from a nearby forest, now live in a newly constructed facility built by the municipality of Prague for injured or orphaned wildlife.
